Pre-dawn darkness at the Stirling Lotus Vale Station's weighbridge where stock agent Bram Pollock weighs each unladen trailer. The 125,00-hectare Stirling Station, showroom for the privately-owned Gulf Coast Agricultural Company, is both a breeding block for the company’s four contiguous stations in Queensland’s Gulf country plus a fattening block, turning off some 15,000 to 20,000 one-year old Brahman steers and speyed heifers each year.
