Story By Don Fuchs

More than 100 people entered the R.M.Williams Beaut Ute Competition at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney, in its second year. And the best man on the day was a woman. After a search throughout NSW and Victoria 18 finalists were chosen to take part in the Best in Show Ute Parade on Good Friday and Easter Saturday nights. But the winner was Virginia Montgomery of Thurgoona, NSW in her black 2004 Holden SS VY Crewman. She won $1000 and a 12-month Royal Agricultural Society membership. Stephen Penza, from Schofield, in Sydney’s west, was second in his red 1951 Ford Freighter.
