Five days. More than 5000km across 4 states in a Cessna 210. When photographer Georgie Mann and pilot Andrew Kube took an aerial photographic trip across Australia, the experience redefined ‘unbeatable’.

Late last year, the pair, along with 3 passengers, flew from their home base near Hamilton in western Victoria via the Channel Country to Karumba in northern Queensland. They returned via Birdsville, Lake Eyre and the SA gulfs.

“I’ve worked with pilot Andrew Kube quite a bit in recent years,” Georgie says. “He lived in northern Queensland for many years and kept insisting I just had to photograph the Gulf.” As luck would have it, the country was flourishing, making it the perfect time to capture the rich diversity of inland Australia.
